Tell us about your ERASMUS EXPERIENCE and win a TRIP to IBIZA

February 26th, 2010

Tell us about your ERASMUS EXPERIENCE and win a TRIP to IBIZA with more than 2000 other international students!

Would you like to win a trip to Ibiza for 4 nights, together with over 2000 other international students? To participate, you simply have to tell us the experience that you’ve had as an exchange student (on Erasmus, ISEP, Sócrates, etc) or also as a traveller in any university, town or city in the world. The writer of the best experience will win a ticket to the ESN Ibiza Trip 2010, where you will enjoy a real Mediterranean paradise: fun in the sun, beaches, cultural visits and of course…. lots of parties!

Don’t hesitate to join the contest!

Erasmusu more open to the world with ESN Spain

January 26th, 2010

On the one hand, we have just launched our new main page. As you can see, it is by far more much open and friendly. I think we were not properly showing to the world all the content that our users were creating: cities and universities experiences, public photo galleries, questions in the forums, rankings, etc. So we have designed a landing page that explains what is our vision and why Erasmusu will be useful for you.

Here you have a preview of the new main page:

New Erasmusu Main Page

And yeah… We are going to release much more (and faster) improvements each week… stay tunned guys at Erasmusu.com!

On the other hand, we have signed a cooperation agreement with ESN Spain (Erasmus Student Network) an  European wide student network with goal to support and develop student exchange. Each ESN section of the world, will be able to use Erasmusu for promoting it’s activities to the exchange students of  the city. We believe that ESN have a lot to offer to international students and we are going to work hard to provide the tools so they can achieve their mission.

Why Erasmusu stills in private beta?

April 21st, 2009

As most of you may know Erasmusu is in private beta, which means that only people who have been invited can register into the site. Some of you are asking us why, so here you have answer.

Cokidoo is the (very) early startup behind Erasmusu and we are testing all the system with limited users (actually 600) before release it to the public for an obvious reason: We can’t manage thousand of users with the current server, so we are polishing the system and upgrading it to get it ready to the big public.

Last days Iván and Emilio have been working in some improvements on the back-end of the page, and as you may notice some sections like Home and My Profile are now faster than ever. Meanwhile, Javier is starting to work on the PHP and MySQL part to work together with Iván in the future improvements of Erasmusu.

In the other hand, Adrián is working (and arguing with Javier a lot, lol!) in the redesign of the next version of the page that will be faster, more friendly useful and more cooler :)

See you soon guys!

Can not find your university or some city?

March 29th, 2009

Hi guys! We are starting to send more invitations to all those people who have asked for an invitation. Some of you have reported us that you couldn’t find your university or a specific city, so we can search the needed information and add it to our database.

How can you report any issue?

Actually if you find any bug or issue in the website you can report it by using the contact section. Just provide us your email to reply you if needed and we will contact with you as soon as possible.

Thanks for all the interest that you have deposited in erasmusu and we hope you find this project useful :)

Welcome to Erasmusu

March 24th, 2009

Hi there guys! Welcome to the official blog of Erasmusu, a new social network and the main project of Cokidoo a new startup from Spain.

Erasmusu

Here you have a brief introduction of Erasmusu

¿What is Erasmusu.com?

It’s a social network focused on Erasmus and international exchange students from all kinds. Our intention is to provide a useful platform full of content to the students so they can:

- Comment on any city or university in the world, share their experiences and read the reviews of other users.

- Get information about any city or university: the weather, photos, forum, people in the city, reviews and other user experiences, the map, etc.

- Meet people who were, are and will be in any city or university in the world.

- Find their friends through a system that can filter their searches by university, city, mobility program, age, gender, etc.

- View rankings of the best cities and universities, ordered by party, people, art, health, prices and more.

- Do all kind of these things that you already know from other social networks: writting on the board, private messages, upload and tag photos, change your status and much more.

- And all this protected via privacy system. The users are who decide how accesible can be their profile.

We are already using Facebook / Tuenti. Why we should use Erasmusu?

Facebook is the most complete application nowdays, but it’s at the same time a giant with feet of clay in some aspects. A lot of students who try it for the first time find it extremely complex, due the large number of sections and elements it shows.

In the other hand, Erasmusu focuses on providing very defined and clear controls, easy to use for the user, so they can handle the website in a few minutes without complications. Likewise, Erasmusu is much more focused in showing specific elements that are of interest to Erasmus and exchange students, such us all the issues related to exchange programs, information on cities and universities, photos, rankings, etc.

I want to try Erasmusu.com!

Actually we are using a private invitation system, so if you don’t have friends to request your invitation ,you can request your invitation by clicking here.
